Case Study: Joly Lecture Theatre at The National Library of Ireland
P10 Auditorium Chairs
The new Joly Lecture Theatre accommodates 96 people in a state-of-the-art facility intended to provide a publicly accessible cultural area that enhances Dublin’s offerings as a place to visit, live and work. Focusing on accessibility for all, the front row of seats can be removed to accommodate visitors who are in wheelchairs, and with the addition of a high-tech audiovisual system and incorporating the exceptional P10 auditorium chairs, the space allows for larger groups to attend lectures, educational programs, readings and events.
As part of the “Reimagining the National Library” redevelopment project, the Joly Lecture Theatre is the most significant investment in the National Library of Ireland since the late 1800’s. With the goal to deliver an accessible, sustainable, modern lecture theatre, selecting the design-forward P10 auditorium chairs provide a comfortable and sleek respite that is also environmentally friendly. Visitors sit comfortably while learning about Ireland’s rich history and the remarkable building in which it resides.
