The LEED Gold, three-story, 60,000sf Student Success Center is the new gateway to the academic core of the University of California Riverside campus with the primary purpose of amplifying the student experience while providing essential general-purpose instructional and study spaces.

To achieve this, the building has been organized around a naturally daylit and passively exhausted three-story atrium - the Paseo - that serves as the academic "living room" for the campus. Combined with the porosity of the ground floor towards the campus, the building invites students to participate in the robust academic life that is connected internally to a variety of open and enclosed study spaces, as well as state-of-the-art instructional spaces including flexible and adaptable flat-floor classrooms, tiered small and medium lecture halls and a tiered 400 seat interactive lecture hall in-the-round.

Anchoring the intersection of Arts Walk and the historic Carillon Mall, the Student Success Center is a “lantern of learning” that fosters community for all.
